Bravo 3 Zincs
I have a cruiser that sits in the water for 6-7 months. So what I'm wondering from all the bells n whistles on it. Some days it's has the TV on with teh A/C on and the radio has an Amp. and the battery charger is on. can I stop the rot or at least slow it down? I was told it will be in need of replacement every 3 years due to electrolsis. I was told by a guy at the Marina to add more zincs to the boat and drive ?

Re: Bravo 3 Zincs
magnesium, aluminum, and zinc are the anodes to choose from.
B3's are TERRIBLE about galvanic corrosion, but you can do your part to make them live.
Add extra anodes like crazy. Make sure your Mercathode is functioning properly. Make sure your (and all the other boats on your dock) polarities and grounds (for the shorepower) is good.
Keep a close eye on the bonding straps and keep conductive grease on them and then brush liquid rubber over them.
Friend has a 1994 Bravo 3 in continuous freshwater and it started getting zits, but patched them and added anodes. No more problems.

Re: Bravo 3 Zincs
It seems about say 90% from last year. I was going to add 2 zincs on each trim tab, and add 2 small zincs on the cavitation plate. it's a 2002 B3 so I don't have that huge zinc on the end of the propshaft. I'm not sure if I can just add that on or do I have to change shafts?
