Re: Rev. Limiter and Thunderbolt Ign.
I have the 8728 soft touch rev control on my engine. It looks like the 5468 is a comparable system. I believe that it uses water tight connections and doesn't take the chips like my unit. The chips are not that bad because you really don't ever adjust the limit. The water tight connections really are not that critical either as the connections are all made with ring terminals. I'd also suggest mounting the box on the engine. This will make it significantly easier to pull the engine. There should be enough room on the back of one of the cylinder heads.
To se the record straight, the Tbolt 4 system has no rev limiter. The Tbolt 5 does. You must know which system you currently have.

Re: Rev. Limiter and Thunderbolt Ign.
I have Thunderbolt IV (4) but they do not look the same on both engines, one is a small plastic component and the other one is bigger with a red sticker on it and looks like it is made of aluminum. Is the best way to change to a TB V (5) or to get MSD system? I think adding a rev limiter is the cheapest way.
Thanks!

Generally the module was rivited to a aluminum plate that was bolted to the exhaust riser. I'm not sure what you are trying to describe. Get the Msd system.
