Default K-plane pump mounting idea wanted

I have the standard mounts for my k-plane pumps. They screw into the transom. The problem is that my transom is at a slight angle. When the fluid is filled to the appropriate level the pump is canted backward slightly and the fluid leaks. I was thinking of using a wedge of wood to make the pumps level. I'm anal about keeping my bildge clean. Anybody have any ideas?

Thanks,
Dave M.

Thanks, I already have the "no leak" caps. That's not were they leak from. It leaks were the reservoir and the pump meet. There is a O-ring there which I replaced but they still leak. Both sides do the same thing. My trim pump does not leak and it sites level. In the picture the fluid level is were it should be. When the pump is angled back the fluid rises in the back and drops in the front of the reservoir.

Mine are mounted to the rear seat bulkhead with a wedge to keep them level.

i would use a 12-14 degree wedge. you could make it out of core cell. if you need a piece pm me . i have some 3/4 and 1/2 pieces laying around.

It looks like you may have the older reservoir that attaches at the bottom with a single screw. The newer ones attach at the top with 4 screws which help keep the oring seated. I would try to get the newer reservoirs. The latest tab pumps also come with a new cap that shouldn't have any leak problems. I have installed the newer pumps without tipping them to vertical without any problems. Hope this helps and good luck.
