One thing I noticed the innercooler fitting when ya put a Earls #12 fitting there the temp sender will not fit in the spot provided Had to put it in the thermostat housing It could of been put a little lower or in a different spot and it would of fit and been cleaner install.

Whipples mounted

The water neck I had made with the #12 bungs welded on so I can run the braided stuff on every thing .I just pollished the stainless bung and weld to blend in,

Re: Hustler 500efi engine tear down & Build Up

The 2 Whipple kits came in the boxes these 3 boxes very well pack with that expand a foam. Everything was bubble rapped , there wasn't a single scratch ,dent on anything .I was surprised how well they packed the stuff

The kits came with every thing you would need for a stock 500efi install . There was even some extra stuff. i even has some left over stuff. I ordered mine thru Mark at Precision Marine in Louisiana without the fuel system, diff pulleys etc.I knew I was going to run it on Marks Dyno and he was doing the ECM for me and the way he does it on the Dyno it exactly the same as it would run in the boat all the ascoryes , I even had fluid flowing thru the power steering pump.using my fuel system on the dyno meant I didn't have to touch it when I put it in the boat

The one thing wish Whipple did was Polish this plate. I ask Dustin he said I could not take it apart Oh well

One of the distributors has a hard spot in it. I took both apart and cleaned them up . the a bronze bushing I polished it up , lubed them and put back together.

Re: Hustler 500efi engine tear down & Build Up

My MSD brackets I made out of stainless steel.Put the riv[blind]nuts in it . I had made them out of aluminum last year and the cracked and water spotted.

These mount right above the ECM on the stock mer 500efi bracket . I like it better there and it keeps the motor cleaner looking . Ive seen where Teague mounts his on the front of the motor This keeps the wires shorter and all the ignition in the same place and stainless bracket polished will look like chrome even though ya cant see it
