Re: Intercoms/WHAT IS THE BEST DEAL?
I installed the Revolution Marine Intercom system in my boat this summer and it has worked very well.I had a couple of problems with the main box,but the owner was very helpful and fixed the problem with no questions asked.I tried both the boom mike and the throat mike and decided to go the throat style. They were a little uncomfortable at first but you get alot better reception and alot less wind noise past the 80 mph mark. The stereo comes in clear but sometimes it is hard to hear.I think the system was around $1800.00 for a 4 man system. The system was very easy to install and had more then enuff wiring for the boat.I would recommend this system to anybody looking for a intercom.

Tigerperformance systems are the best on the market. I have installed these systems before. The common problem is not hearing your stereo through them very well. The fix for that is to install a line drive on the rca output that runs from the main intercom box to the stereo. The line drive will boost the level that comes from the stereo to the headphones bringing the audio level up to a useable level. Without the line driver you have to turn the squealch up real loud to here the stereo which works for that, but as soon as someone talks over the system, their voice is way too loud. The line driver is just simply a boost for the audio signal. I believe that Tigerperformance includes a line driver now in their packages just for that very reason.

Re: Intercoms/WHAT IS THE BEST DEAL?
I bought them from Gulf coast avionics, I have a portable setup they have panel mounted also. They are on the web along with several other pilot shops just surf around, Sportys pilot shop is another I can think of. I love mine they take all the wind noise away so I can hear the engines better as well as my passengers. If you have any wind sheild they work fine if you take tons of wind you can get throat mics and that goes away but I'll bet you get a funky tanline... If you are ever in West Michigan I'd let you try mine before you buy.....

Thanks for the replies!I thought the passengers would get a kick out of being able to talk and listen to the tunes without screaming and turning the mute button on and off.Sometimes you want to hear the engines and then the music. But $2,000 bucks,I could get bigger amps and f the passengers
