Default Hyd. Roller Lifters

I am changing out my cam that has hyd. roller lifters with about 10 hours on both lifters and cam, can I install the new cam with the old (10 hours) hyd. roller lifters?

I have been told and the way that I understand it is to always start with a new set of lifters with a new cam. Even though your current lifters only have 10 hrs. on them they have a wear pattern on them from your current cam. If you put your already broke in wear pattern lifters with your new cam you have a potential of prematurely wearing in a bad pattern in the new cam lobes causing it to go flat.

Yes you will be fine with using the old lifters as long as the cam has no more then .360" lobe lift. The OEM "dog bone" type lifter is limited to that lift due to design.
