Default Rev Limiter Question

I have a pair of carbed, 95' 500hp's. Are the rev limiters adjustable or are they fixed? If adjustable, how is it done and if fixed, what needs to be done to increase the rev limit?

rev limiters are fixed. You can simply remove/bypass them. Its a black box mounted near the module.

On the 95 HP there are no rev-limiters, you have the TB IV module. That are the ones I just put in my boat.

There IS a separate rev limiter on all blue/merc racing engines with TB IV ignitions. It is a separate component and can be removed.

It is part # 41 in the diagram on the link.

On my friends 95 HP there was no rev-limiter, someone must have removed it prior.

The rev limiter in my link #43 is the same pt # as Griffs pt # 41, just so no confusion.
