Panama City Beach (PCB) Race

I know quite a few of you are preparing for the kilo run and race in NC this weekend, but the PCB race is two short weeks away after the race in Washington.

Seeing as they moved the venue from Panama City over to the Panama City Beach side, Ken Doyle has been working feverishly to put this race together quickly...and it sounds like it's coming together quite nicely.

Although the SBI/APBA web site says info is coming, I did talk to Ken a few days ago. The hotels are listed on the web site and the start/finish will be off the Holiday Inn Sunspree Resort (note the hotel registration cut-offs are later this week). Ken told me he was in final negotiations with some folks, but it was safe to say the dry pits are going to be in the parking lot of either Club La Vela or Spinnaker, the wet pits/launching would be off Grand Lagoon, and expect a boat parade down Front Beach Road on either Friday or Saturday evening.

If Ken does what he did with the PC race in May, this will be a great time!

Sean

Sean,
looking foward to it , we had a blast last time and this race should be even better. What a great town to race in, SBI/APBA had done a hell of a job this year with their race site. I can only amagine what neaxt year will bring.

Ken,

Good to see ya back online...I know you've been extremely busy lately. I hope I didn't steal any of your thunder by posting some of the race info here. Please correct any of my post if I'm not accurate or if something has changed.

Thanks for your hard work thus far,

Sean
