The Fastest Invisible Boat in the OSO Fleet
Hotels on the beach for Panama City race....

We are trying to find a few possible places on the course for Panama. The SBI site lists 2, I know there has to be more.

It would be good to find a condo/hotel that had 3/4 bedrooms available.

Thanks.

Re: Hotels on the beach for Panama City race....

Probably the best hotel to stay at would be the Holiday Inn Sunspree. I'd compare it to the Hyatt in Sarasota, except that it is right on the nice white sand beach and will have the bestview of the race. They also have jet ski's, parasail boats, etc. right there on the beach in front of the hotel. The owners of this hotel have been helping me out to get the event changed from Panama City to Panama City Beach and are wanting to make sure it becomes a yearly event. They also own the Days Inn and Best Western (all on the beach and can see the race from). Call Connie Miller at the Holiday Inn (850-230-4800) and she can help you out with either a room or a condo.
I also have a meeting with Connie and the Mayor of PCB this morning to finalize the parade route. I think Connie has assembled a list of local businesses who are looking to provide boat sponsorship - - - I'll know more on that this afternoon. All the people I've been dealing with so far regarding the race have been exttremely excited and helpful and are really looking forward to the show.
If anyone needs info, I can be reached at 850-685-0245.
