Opa question
Do any guys out there plan on running more single outboards next year, I know that there is always talk of guys getting together for a class. I believe you need 5 boats to be considered a class. Just trying to plan for next season.
Mark henderson drop me a pm if your on here I would like to see your boat

Nitro,
I have heard people talk about setting up boats for the class and I certainly hope that they do.
It was unforunate the other 3 boats that said they were coming to race this weekend didn't show because they would have been scored in their own class. Without them, that left the two SOBs to run up against the inboards which from what we saw, simply just couldn't compete with their size once the water was kicked up.
Ocean Marine has shown interest in coming back next year. Intimidator probably would, providing they run in their own class.

Common you SOB's Our new schedule will be announced soon. There will be some nice flat water sites for you guys to tear up. Or do we have to come to NY and run a race? Seems thats where most of you are. We can do that if you want. Whats it gonna take? Smitty

Re: Sob
I'll be there next year at all the calmer water races. I would go to the ocean races to but i love my boat to much to destroy it. I know that Herb to will be at the races next year as well, He always shows up to race. The great south bay is an awesome place to have a race. Hopefully next year we can really get some guys out there to compete. I'll have a 300 on my boat next year so hoefully ill be able to keep up, even if i have to race the big boats again

Brandon,
I like all the enthusiasm!!!
It is starting to make me think of all the hard work put into this over the last few years may just pay off!
Let's keep up the momentum over the off season.
This can be the most exciting class of offshore one day!

Brandon,
Being you are from LI as well try talking with Herb about other motor ideas besides the 300X. While the 300X is a great motor I personally feel it is the wrong direction for this class. Green motors with a high performance gear case is a good idea or a bunch of similar boats all to what you ran would be perfect as well. Your setup you ran in Camden takes the speed out of the equation and more emphasis on the driver and throttleman along with set up. Plus it will keep the class tight rather then having guys with 300Xs run away from the field. Just see what Herb thinks as well. Once December rolls around I will have more time to help out with this if you guys would like a helping hand again. I know Sharkey is in to make it grow. I can not make any promises of a DPT entry for next year but if it is in the cards then it will happen.
