Ron I thought of that but Unlimited hydros get beat beat up and broken physically also.

Is it mainly piston engine repair time versus turbine engine exchanges as the Unlimiteds do.?

Re: OSS Worlds Schedule==Why??

Marc, it's also because of heritage. Years and years ago, when you were young and viral, they raced on Tues, Thurs and Sunday. The two boat teams like Popeyes and Gentry would swap out 21 engines through the three races.(cat with 4 motors and Vee with three) That takes time, then you need to test them to see if everything works.

Three races in a week was too expensive for all but the most successful drug dealers. So, years ago, when your hat was still bright red they went two a race format, Thurs and Sunday. Then two years ago, after two boats tied at the Worlds in New Orleans in the two race format, SBI went back to the three race format. And that brings us to today.

Looks like OSS is going with a two race format.
Wed - Testing and Pole position runs
Thurs - Race
Friday - Party and National Championship awards
Sat - Testing and Pole Position runs
Sun - Race

So it's not a consiracy against working people it's just the way it is. Also remember, racer come to these races to have some fun and relax. They don't make enough money from boat racing to work like dogs the whole time they are there.

Marc, just go with the flow, plus it will let you get a nap in now and then.

Marc,
You do know that SBI is racing on Wed, Sat & Sun, right?
Typically that "World Championship" race always is a multiple race format. OSS is doing two race days, SBI/APBA is doing three. OSS trys to allow for motor changes or general boat repairs in between race days. SBI likes to race back to back in Key West. Nothing wrong with either format, just different formats. Either way, at least one race would need to fall during the week.

Only Randy can start a race after almost 4 laps and still take 4th place! In the Worlds you may not want to give the other boats a 4 lap head start.
