SBI Points ??? Confused

While trying to keep up with the SBI race action, and Factory 1 points race; I am a little confused about how points are awarded.

There are (4) boats that appear "Did Not Start" (DNS) on the Total Results page:

#12 BTM Marine - DNS Sat, 0 points; DNS Sun, 0 points
#60 Pour It On - DNS Sat, 0 points; DNS Sun, 0 points
P3-66 Berman Group - DNS Sat, 0 points; DNS Sun, 0 points
P3-19 Pollo Tropical - DNS Sat, 0 points; DNS Sun, 0 points

Were these boats at the race? What happened that none started either day? Looks like lots of carnage in testing.

Now the points question:

F1-7 Team Extreme is shown as a DNS on Saturday yet was awarded 3rd place, 202.5 points. All other boats were awarded 0 points for DNS. How are the points awarded?? If no points were awarded it looks like the F1 class results would be different.

If points were awarded for DNS to all boats other class points races would also be affected. Anyone have the anwsers?

Just curious, not looking for a fight

You get points for each days race. The highest total gets the points for the weekend. BTM Marine broke an engine on Tuesday and did not make the race

I think the DNS for Frank and Richard should have been a DNF. I think they made the start but broke shortly thereafter without completing the first lap. I'm sure one of them will chime in soon.

Not sure about the other boats. Maybe they registered, paid and didn't show. I don't remember seeing them there.
