Actually, we'll agree on everything as soon as you accept the fact that I'm on the right side of most issues....

I don't advocate cheating...but I know that it occurs... sometimes even among the best racers.
There have been a number of "shaky" incidents involving revered boat and engine builders, riggers, and racers.... who are considered among the legends of our sport....
You can hold your breath until you turn blue, complain to anyone who will listen, act like a fire and brimstone preacher in a whorehouse........or do something much more satisfying ... beat them on the race course.... knowing full well what you have really accomplished.
Believe me .....from my experience...... the latter is MUCH more personally rewarding.

Oh boy I've seen everything now! Fun thread though!
When I tech'd for APBA in 2000 boats would pull up to the docks and wait for there turn on the crane. A lot of cheating took place right there. I personally could not keep my eye on everyone. When the boat docked and threw out lines, the team and lots and lots of family members would all rush the docks. I used to look in the boat before it got weighed to make sure helmets and such were out of the boat. At first I would not think much about fenders thrown in the boat because they would only weigh a couple of pounds I thought. Then I got smart and went to grab fenders out of a boat and found they were filled with water! Yep heavy as hell all four of those big fenders probably weighed around 60-80 pounds! Someone from the team or family brought them down when the boat was waiting to be craned in.
