Shane,
I talked to Lee Austin at the New York race last year and remarked about him having two extra powerheads for his boat. His remark was that he had to have at least one extra set of Mercury maypops...just in case.
That doesn't sound less expensive than the Innovation Vortec lease program....in fact is seems to me it would be more expensive.
At 100mph...that's only 4-5 more than your SVL is doing.
If Ryan is spending 5k per race...that's about $800 more per race than you can run in P-Class.
Why not pick up one of the SVL's that's for sale at a bargin and do the Vortec engine with full race warranty?

It's only old because Lee won't create the new one until he feels his testing is complete. He's a Boatbuilder, the new version will be relatively inexpensive to our
Team. The only reason the boat is not undefeated is that Lee and I are the oldest guys in the class and usually err on the side of caution. No offense to any other builder, our competition has amazing state of the art stuff. But if an aggressive team like your's pushed our boat to the ragged edge, I don't believe it could be beat.
As far as our class is concerned I think it is the most bang for the buck by a long shot. We see race speeds in excess of 110mph. Our boats work well in the rough and calm. Most of all, it will be pretty hard for the big guys to step in and make your equipment obsolete. Give Lee a call. 954 791 2552
