Merc. 525 oil for racing
There are a lot of Merc. 525efi's out there racing. Merc. has a new synthetic blend motor oil for 4 stroke stern drive engines. I just spoke with Merc. Racing tech support and they said DO NOT use the new Merc. syn. oil in the 525efi. They said the new oil is only for "standard" Merc. sterndrive engines. Are there any racers out there running synthetic blend oil in their 525efi's??? I sure would like to, but the Merc. experts say not to.
