tony, just for the reason you stated below is exactly why most sanctioned racing bodies dont allow computers or even more common electrictronic controlled fuel injection. and you deffinatenly cant have an engine supplier being the tech inspector. even worse when the same engine supplier/ tech people are maintaining one or two of the boats out of the field. you'll never have the perception of a level playing field.
the 750 and 850 can easily be put together along with the one or two piston extreme boats. the problem is they would have to want to race each other first.
JEM- i cant really see making the 750 and 850's any slower or slowing them up enough to compete with the 525's. and i don't see how you can take a 525 that rev's to 5400 rpm and make it even come close to the 750's.
next- i never saw racing better than when apba llc had supercat. fact - that was the biggest field of cats, all in one class that has ever raced here in the US that i can remember.
ok tony, i also wanted to get this straight - class one's QATAR TEAM is going to be in key west this year racing?
is this a known fact? which boats are they bringing? C1 boats, X-cats or both? have they made a press release about?
