Default FL races @ beginning March?

I'll be in FL for vacation the first week of March and was wondering if there are any races going on. Not sure where to look. Don't have many in Minnesota

Ok thanks. I'll be in Ft. Meyers. Any recommendations for things to do? Nortech is on my list and GTO airboats since I work with their engine program.

That's to bad, people from all over seem to be on March Break or vacationing in Florida and could be a great time for Offshore Powerboat Racing to hold a race. Could be a great opportunity to promote the sport more and there could be bigger crowds at that time of year. I was also asked the same Question by my brother, if there were any Offshore Powerboat Races in Florida in March as he will be down there. Maybe it is something that SBI should think about. Just thinking outside of the box.

I think part of the reason is that the more races u have and the earlier we start the more exspensive it becomes. It is hard for a team to run the full schedule we have now with 8 regular season races and KW . The more races u have the less boats u will have because teams have to pick the race
s they can do. As it is now I dont think you will see many teams running a fulll schedule 8 months is a long season. It about the money and also in todays economy its hard to get the time off from work.

Just my though I knon it would come into play for us.
