GMC/Chevy 1500HD Crewcab?

Has anybody out there have a GMC or Chevy 1500HD crewcab? I am looking at buying one, and would like some input and feed back from someone who might have one or HAD one. Thanks in advance.

Ride/comfort?
Mileage?
Vortec performance?
Problems?
etc?

Ben

great truck. tows my 29 fountain very easily. not as well as my 1 ton crew cab big block, but much better than a z 71 1/2 ton.

Thanks for the information.

Dave, No Ford, for we expect to be racing for GM/Vortec in SVL next year/this year, so we'd like to keep it in the family, although George already drives an F-350.

Candy,
No tow truck, just a sweet ride. I expect to only tow, sometimes. Testing, PR, playing, etc. And Randy, you know even if I did feed Laura (which I haven't) it would still only take a "little red wagon" to move her around... Hell, she really fits well in my pocket...

Dredgeking,
You have too many trucks... 1500HD, Chevy 1 ton, and Z71??? Do you own a dealership? WOW...

Right now I'm talking to John at Big Oaks GMC. He has several options for me right now.

ben, i thought gmc was a bit looney when they came out with the 1500 hd. is it a 1/2 ton or a 3/4 ton? it's the best of both. the short bed crew cab is the best all around truck i've owned. the 6.0 engine is right between the big block and the smaller v8's. if you're towing a mid sized boat this is the ticket.
