Anyway of putting more bolts in the plate? IMCO's plate has 4 bolts holding it on. In 2 years I have lost one of 8 bolts (twins).

Hey Peconic
We took the gimbal apart on Randys Boat, Because the boat was overheating due to water flow. The sea water hose was improperly installed by merc, and was pinching off depending upon the trim angle of the drive. Ed

use green loc-tite...also if the plate has ever come loss prior. make sure the two surfaces are perfect...also leave the anode in place, it will change the resonance frequency of the part....if you tap on it, it should sound solid and not have a vibration sound to it.
5200 is also a number that comes to mind

Joey: Very good advcice. Actually, when the plate had come loose, the zinc anode was turning. Screwed it back in by hand, but should have paid better attention.
Glenn: I always make sure that the seastrainer is full, and that the water is actually running after having openend the seastrainer. Go get 'em in M'whacky!
