Capsule version:

One drive: Bravo.

One weight: 4650 lbs

One engine: 475 hp engine based on GM 496 CID offerings. Badge on engine: Yet unknown, they are negotiating with Mother Mercury, GM and others.

Purchase price: "Low teens." Or a lease deal for 7K per year.

Alweiss: "The engine will definitely be announced at the Worlds."

No length changes.

Engine & drive will apply to F2 also. There will be one weight fro F2 also. Exact number t.b.a.

I think the news were very well received. Racers appear to be ready to go with that new engine. It was poiunted out several times that a 475 hp engine fills a great void between the Merc. 496 and the Merc Racing HP525.

Even if the motor turn out to cost mid teen (for the bobtail version,) it would be a good deal.

Will this price be for a package or just the engine?

Although because of Family issues I was not able to attend the meetings. I would like to thank Mike A. for attending this meeting and hearing the concerns of the F1/F2 Racers. I am sure it made the racers feel good to know you are concerned.

Thank You,
DPT

Ed: Just the engine all the way to thre transom plate, or so we were told.

RLW: Is that a trick question? "Bobtail" is the term usually used to describe a complete new drop-in engine including all of the related accessories and mounting hardware.
