I also have watched this for a long time racing a super boat and don't understand it.Innovation is what brings people into racing.Like your drive and shaft drive rudder boats.My new rudder boat is sitting for that reason.I am building a new shaft drive system and would like to race S/Cat with it.But for now rigging it with 1450hp blower motors to see how fast it will go.
