Quoting Prices to Sponsors
trying to get it together for Deerfield.....yeah, I know, nothing like waiting til the last minute......but better late than never.....
thanks, Mark, Augie, Shane, Scott, Rick for all your suggestions and encouragement, youv'e made the difference......
I need help quoting prices to sponsors for Deerfield and Key West. What are competitive prices for sponsorships and what is usually provided. I am trying to get into P-class racing. I have a couple of local companies that have shown interest in sponsoring me at Deerfield and possibly Key West, however, I do not have any experience with quoting prices or marketing value......I don't want to lose the opportunity so I need to get them some information within the next 48 hours......
thanks in advance

I would think if you could get two grand for Deerfield, part of which would pay to put thier name on the boat. You'd be doing pretty good for a first time racer.
Good luck, this is the hard part of racing.

Donz, he is talking about Ryan Beckley. He races S class and has a graphics buisiness. Does numbers and name at the race sites.
Kinetic Animation is his buisiness.
PS If he agrees to do work for you, don't stress it if you see nothing during the day, he seems to do his best work from 11PM-4AM in th pits.

Re: Quoting Prices to Sponsors
is this a big time corporate sponsor?...or a local guy that is going to toss you 500-5000 bucks to get his feet wet???...corporate; your going to have to correlate media exposure per $ amount spent...small time; is going to know what your doing for him RIGHT now. the measurement is going to be based of how good you make him feel....pixs of the boat during the race,,,,pixs of boat in front of storefront w/employees,,,set-up a VIP tent at the races/corporate outing for him/employees,,,let him drive the race boat with in-cock-pit cameras documenting it!....

Well said Joey. You can basically name your price based on what you are going to offer them, but you have to make it worth their time vs other avenues of their marketing budget.

thanks everyone, two of these potential sponsors are in the $500-$5,000 category, we'll offer pics of the boat with employees, VIP, even a ride in the boat, might even throw in some T-shirts....I think I get the picture
