No clarification on that but no matter what they should be. If you were there last year you will completely understand why I mean that.

Re: Boat Count
I would really like to see the OSS boys come to the table with JC and hammer out a deal that would put us all under one banner. What would it take? Are there substantive issues that prevent this?

Yes Dennis you are right last fall was special, but that was a SBI race. With JC being APBA/UIM now also, the rule states that a team must have 2 SBI/APBA/UIM starts in order to be eligible for KW. KW could be the same as it was last year, but obviously some teams have some choices, lets hope they make the right ones so we can all enjoy it again.

Re: Boat Count
A very unfortunate situation again, politics, egos, money *** in the way, it will certainly be a shame for fans attending, who are always on the losing side of disputes. look at the NHL.

Ron,
Don't get your hopes up...............its unfornuate, but if both organizations don't come together for one race, I am sure there will be two world's again.

Does "in order to be eligible" mean that two starts puts you in contention for a World Championship or can a team show up and race without any chance of being a World Champion?
Can a team race without the two starts despite the fact that they would not be an official world champion, if they won?
I don't know if that makes sense but maybe you get the question.

Re: Boat Count
I will take a stab at this..... I dont think that you can run the worlds without the requisite 2 races. The common sense reason would be that you would not want to be out there among boats that have a legitimate shot at a world championship and risk being involved in an incident. Also, I think that thw worlds being after the October31 date commits you to 2 years of equipment registration. That is a good move for the organization.
