Lake Charlevoix Ramp and Boating Questions

I will be launching my 38 Cig on Lake Charlevoix Friday and was wondering what the best ramp on the lake was (Boyne?? just because of Boyne Thunder)

Also, I've been reading a lot of posts about western michigan boating and the noise violations..how is Lake Charlevoix. I'm already planning on getting a ticket because my boat is just plain freaking loud. Any recommendations while I'm up there? I'm very familar with the lake/ area...my family is building a house on the lake but I've never brought my boat up there before.

On the very east end of the lake is a great ramp that will handle your boat easily. As far as noise, the only place that is as issue at this point is Grand Haven.

boyne is a nice ramp I think that charlevoix is a better ramp though. either place you should have no problems. dont think you will have to worry about noise in the area, lake charlevoix is 55 mph though.

Saw a big, colorful offshore boat on US 131 northbound yesterday (Monday) afternoon right around 5pm or so.

You'll see a very red rig heading up there Friday afternoon! Red F350 with a red Fountain behind it...lookin' forward to a great weekend!

Playing in Charlevoix this weekend, but I've got a mountain bike race and a bachelor party next Saturday, so can't do Hardy this year... Have fun Todd.
