Default New Harbor in Milwaukee???

I need some help, we have a group of boats going to summerfest in July. We have always stayed at Mc Kinley Marina, but last year we took a ride and found a new marina much closer to the park. It was brand new not even totaly finished. It was south of Mc Kinley and backed right up to the northern most stage at the fest. Does anybody know the name or web-site of the harbor I would like to see what they have for the fest in 2008 if we wanted to stay there!!! any help would be appreciated.....BZ

P.S. it had a long sea-wall dock on the north side with the new slips on the south side...sorry that is all I remember..

Hey BZ,

Yes, the slips are new and located directly next to Summerfest. I do know the slips are available for rental for visiting boats. I suggest you contact the office at McKinley Marina or try the Milw County Parks. Between the two of them you should get a contact. Good luck!

If you do'nt have any luck with the McKinley marina you may want to try looking through the state park system. I think they may be considered part of the state park system. Another thing you can try is contacting discovery world. They also have slips that are for rent along the wall. (Discovery world is the new museum where they dock the Tall ships)

It's Lake shore State Park Bob, just google Milwaukee State Park, its run by the WDNR. Also google Discovery World Museum, they have overnight dockage available with shorepower hookup.

Call McKinley or the new harbor (they take reservations 11 mo in advance, per website above)

There are always places to crash on the river no pun intended but no showers.

Skipper is very small, tucked way back in the industrial parts. I think they do have showers there, maybe a dozen slips.
