Really wish I could make this one, but 2 runs in 2 weeks aren't in my cards this year. I'll look for it next year for sure though.

We wish you could be there too!!!

But, don't fret...If all goes well...

We will be planing other fun runs for the 2009 season...

There are many more performance boaters to meet & greet!!!

Fri. 6/19/09 Pre-run BBQ...4:00pm..until

Sat. 6/20/09 Fun Run...9:00am...4:30pm and BBQ immediately following the run...

How:

For those trailering from the east...Take I-94 to Connor...exit at Connor and turn left (south)...Take Connor south to Jefferson...turn right (west) onto Jefferson and go approx. 1/2 mile to St. Jean...Turn left on St. Jean (south) and follow to Freud St....You will see the Harbor Hill Marina and Blue Water Marine...Turn left (west) on Freud for approx. 150ft...Then, turn right on St. Jean again (south) and continue towards the Detroit River & St. Jean Ramp...the marina will be on your right...

For those trailering from the west...Take I-94 to Connor...exit at Connor and turn right (north)...Take Connor north to Jefferson...turn right (west) onto Jefferson and go approx. 1/2 mile to St. Jean...Turn left on St. Jean (south) and follow to Freud St....You will see the Harbor Hill Marina and Blue Water Marine...Turn left (west) on Freud for approx. 150ft...Then, turn right on St. Jean again (south) and continue towards the Detroit River & St. Jean Ramp...the marina will be on your right...

Note: Those traveling from West Michigan...take I-96 east to the I-94 interchange and head west on I-94 to Connor...then follow the instructions for those trailering from the west...

Special Note: Please give Jim Fisher a call at 313-957-1991 when you are approaching the marina &/or ramp...We will meet you at the ramp and help you to launch, tie-up and then, shuttle you back to the ramp, so you can safely & securely park your hauler/trailer in the marina proper...

Canadian Participants:

You can launch at the Lakeview Marina Park boat ramp in Windsor, Ontario, Canada...Which is located next to the Windsor Yacht Club and directly across the Detroit River shipping channel from Harbor Hill Marina...Please contact Andy Breschuk at 519-944-0228 or [email protected] or paste this link into your browser www.citywindsor.ca/002001.asp

In addition, we will have U.S. Customs officers at Harbor Hill Marina the expedite the border crossing and reporting process. Please email us ASAP at [email protected] to supply us with the listed info. for the customs manifest:

Captain's name, address, date-of-birth, direct contact info., vessel registration and vessel name...We also need the name, date-of -birth and direct contact# for all passengers on-board...

Note: All persons crossing the U.S. border and touching land must have either an I-68 permit, Nexus card or passport...Andy Breschuk has been so kind as to drive any visiting boaters over to U.S. Customs in his personal vehicle...Again "All Hands on Deck"...Please contact him at 519-944-0228 or [email protected]


Fun Run Itinerary for Sat. 6/20/09

8:30am - 9:30am Driver's Meeting

10:00am Start Engines and stage/muster outside Harbor Hill break-wall

10:30am - 11:30am Run Lake St. Clair and head to Jack's Waterfront

11:30am - 12:30am Jack's Waterfront for the Old School Offshore Reunion II & Boat Show (Stop #1)

12:45pm - 1:30pm Metro Beach Dream Cruise (no wake speed)

1:30pm - 2:30pm Run Gull Island / South Channel / Middle Channel

2:30pm - 3:30pm Mariner's Boat Club Stop hosted by Steve Wyatt (Stop #2...Thanks so much Steve!!!)

3:30pm - 4:00pm Run Down Bound Shipping Channel and head toward Windsor Yacht Club

4:00pm - 4:15pm Windsor Yacht Club Idle-By

4:15pm - 4:30pm Detroit River Days Festival ...2 X 2 Fly-By (40 MPH??)

4:30pm - 5:00pm Detroit Marina District / Roostertail Idle-By to Harbor Hill Marina

Safety

All captains and participants are asked to follow safe boating rules, wear life vests, drive safely and refrain from alcohol consumption during the fun run...


Overnight accommodations

We have reserved several overnight guest wells at Harbor Hill Marina at the fun run rate of $1.25/ft...Please contact Jim Fisher directly at 313-957-1991 to obtain a guest well.

Special Events

There will be a pre-run BBQ on the evening of 6/19/09 and a post-run BBQ immediately after the run on 6/20/09...

Pictures

There will be an airplane and photographer overhead taking individual and group shots during the fun run...We plan to have the pix ready and delivered by the start of the post run BBQ & after party. They will be avail. for sale and are able to be blown-up to poster size...(Much, much, thanks to Ryan Bilyk, who BTW, made all the arr. and has footed the bill for the plane and photographer... Note: we are selling the pix for $30 a piece, just to cover the cost of airtime and to tip the pilot and photographer)...again, "All hands on Deck"...
