Proof of citizenship
I've heard that entering Canada (or the U.S. if you're Canadian) will be more difficult this year. What proof of citizenship is now being required. I have my birth certificate, and recently applied for a nexus card. Do I need a passport? Thanks

From what I under stand a passport will be required and if landing by boat you will need your passport and an I-68 Permit or Nexus Pass. I know that in Ontario they are coming out with a new driver's licence that will allow you, to not have to carry your passport.

Best option is Nexxus, but all partys onboard have to have it , enhanced drivers license, passport card, passport. After june birth cert is not acceptable. You will have to call in to canada and also now have to call in when returning to the US, but the american side might require a port of entry to do inspection if they could figure out what they are doing. Should be a disaster knowing how the americans can screw things up.

nexus is same as having passport and cheaper for U S citizens. If you have a nexus and I do you can also call from your cell to check in on canadian side. Like stated above all occupants on board must have nexus, if not have to call in from desiginated ports. Mark
