A big thank you to Jim Fisher and all of those who helped organize this past weekend's Motor City Fun Run. My wife and I had a ball, but it will probably be a while before I can get my Sister in law back on the lake...........something about back pain from the pounding.
I'll provide more detail as I get it, but for those of you in the Lake St. Clair area, 2 dates to keep in mind:
1) July 18 - Mariners Boat Club is having a "Beauty and the Beast contest. The "Beast" is the best off shore, and the "Beauty" is a bikini contest. Tiki Bar party, Band, and lots of fun. If anyone is interested in dockage I'll see what can be arranged, but even if you can just make it only for the day, it will be a blast.
2) September 5 Mariners Boat Club Tiki Party. All of the details have to be planned. If anyone has any ideas for some off shore fun, or what we can do to make it a super labor day party weekend, let me know. Likewise, I'll keep this forum updated on how it comes together..........whatever it is, it will be a party!
Thanks for taking part in the Motor City CAN-AM Fun Run and for everything that you did to make the stop at the Mariner's Boat Club a great experience. I know that Jim Fisher (divenstar) as well as Vicious Dave (Welfare Racing) and
myself (AB From Windsor) all want to thank you and the Mariner's Boat Club. It was a blast being at Jacks with the Old School Reunion and my body is still acking from the pounding and I unfortunately had to turn back to Jacks with a few of the smaller boats with kids, it was a wise move. Have to do this again next year. Thanks again.
