st clair, ice still? anyone out yet?
picking the boat up this weekend, hopfully will get a run over on st clair this month before i trade her in....hows the lake looking?

Some cool shots here... the April 2 is somewhat obscured by clouds. We are heading up to Erie this evening for the weekend.

the water by the north channel looks like its deaper than it was last year this time..
low water levels are normal for the begining of the season.
Ice free...
seen a few fishing boats out.
wearing heavy winter jackets does not seem like fun.

They use to say there was a ten year high water cycle, 1975, 1985, 1995. We never had it 2005. Some say Chicago is diverting it down the Mississippi river, others say it's the bottle water plants here in the Great Lakes. Whatever the case the water is down. I have lived on Lake St Clair for 35 years and it is definately DOWN...

i was just making a visual observation in my yard..
I live on lake st clair as well.. next to munchies.
I did not measure it..
Then again last year we had the ice damning in the channel...
As long as we have enough watter to have fun..
