Default SE Michigan to Put-in-Bay Info

Thinking about heading to Put-in-Bay this weekend. If the weather looks nice I may drop in somewhere south of Detroit and run over there. Looking for info on a nice ramp with safe overnight parking, and an idea of distance across. Someone told me there is a nice ramp somewhere down there I just dont remember the details.

A group of us are heading down next week, I've never been there yet but it sounds fun from what I've found out the state ramp in Monroe ( exit 11 off 75 ) is a good jumping off spot, about 50 miles from there....have a good time

Monroe is not 50 miles from PIB. PIB is 35 miles from the mouth of the Detroit RIver..... I would guess, PIB is about 28 miles from Monroe (+/- a few miles).
