[tied up by 6, eat dinner, then get smashed, so driving at night is not an option.

you definitely do not want to drive after dinner then -- there are eyes everywhere there and will be pulling everyone over by 8pm...

Dockiside is the other marina on Kelley's, there are jet express's that run between sandusky, kelley's, and PIB till after midnight (check schedule)

MBI is where alot of hardware is camped for the night --there might be condos or chalets still available at hazards too.

Any chance the casino would have room for our boats at 6 pm on a Friday or Saturday?

Would we seriously be stuck without reservations, or is it safe to say we would find a home somewhere?
they can get a lot of boats in at the casino so I don't think it will be a big deal. might not have power though if it is really packed. what size boats u running with?

4 bus. In all honesty. Bringing the group of boats that you mentioned to this area for the first time on that weekend might not be the greatest idea. There's A LOT! going on around the islands on that particular weekend (probably thee busiest weekend of the season). While I don't want to steer anyone away, I'd really hate to see anyone get a sour taste for our playground because they were constantly being turned away due to over crowding and heavier than normal law enforcement.

Tony, ya couldn't have said it any better...however, if you guys were to come to the area, Portside i see as being the best option, Showers for morning, shore power not an issue, and you can go in and out if you want. theres ton's of dock space there, so reserving a spot now probably wouldn't be too much of an issue. Also with Middle bass, the marina is state park owned, and a group of us went over a couple time's and, even playing the Radio not even that loud in the middle of the day we were getting yelled at, ended up leaving and going back to Kelleys because they were too strict with rules....

Thanks. That seems like the place we want to be, however if you see my first post we all have fairly large boats, and 2 of them are enormous.

Be shunned would just make us want it more!!!

It truly is the only "summer" weekend that the is nothing going on. Also a few of the boats run year long slips in the thousand islands, and will have them out that weekend because of get together before and after that weekend. So it is "the" weekend for us.

I don't think I can stop it now, and if we end up on the outside looking in so be it. Your area just looks so appealing from over here

Thanks for your advice and help
