Default Minnesota boaters Memorial weekend!

Supposed to be 80s up in Duluth but water is still VERY cold..

Thinking about heading south to Lake Minnetonka or someplace by the cities...

Where is everyone else boating in Minnesota this weekend ??

Are you serious about Minnetonka being no wake?? That's lame...

I hear St Croix is also no wake...

It would be nice to try something outside of Duluth, but here there is no such thing as NO WAKE...
Never been to Cross lake / whitefish chain.. That fast boat friendly?

Yep tonka hase been no wake for the last 3-4 weeks from all the rain.

There are a hand full of go fast up there. Just watch the noice. Last weekend the WP gave Tim a ticket in his 35 Donzi.. Warning on the noice and ticket on the switch for caption's call.

But over all ya, plenty of room to keep her open for a wile.

Yep St. croix is also no wake. Not sure when that will be lifted. But onceno wake is lifted there is going to be so much chit floating around I would wait a week or 2 after.

Were headed up to apostle islands (Launching at Bayfield) July 11.

Are you from the Duluth area?

Watching the news it looks like a mess down there!! We re heading to LOTO for the support our troops run this weekend! I think there are a couple boats coming up from the cities for 4 of July stuff next weekend. If the weather is nice it is a good time down in Lake Superior. Live bands all day along with the fireworks after dark. Usually 40 plus boats out if the weather is nice.

Yes we are in Duluth. Don't have to worry about noise on Lake Superior but inland obviously. I have not been pulled over yet but only a matter of time. As you probably know the noise attracts the coast guard but that just means safety inspection. Or what it really means is they want to check out your boat. Most of the coasties I have met are cool and sometimes will not even board because they don't want to put there black polished boots on your seats or floors.

I started a Facebook page for Duluth area boating. Duluth Power Boats... I am going to try to keep it up with weather, pic and fun stuff happening in Duluth!!
