I would love to participate in a fun run in that area, as I boated the shores from Singing bridge area to the Saginaw River for many years as a teen, haven't been back that way for 30 years. Count me in if the timing is right as I travel with my job a lot in the summer. Sounds like a great idea.

Saginaw Bay fun run. Any interest?

We need to get something going this summer for a fun run on the Saginaw bay. I know Linwood beach marina tried to have a poker run a few years ago and for some reason didn't end up doing it. I'm assuming because the lack of participation. Kinda hard to set a exact date rite now but I think it would be a good time. Any thoughts?

I'm in. I started a thread a few weeks back in the Great Lakes category. I had several people interested.

You decide to do it it i would be willing to help, have put together several fun runs and participated in quite a few others and poker runs. You will need to plan it early, lots of guys have their summers planned by February. And pick dates that don't conflict with other fun runs, boat parties etc. Will also need to get a venue lined up fairly early to ensure slips.

hotjava66 it's a plan. Slip wise I think Liberty Harbor would be a great place. Great slips, great place to hang on the docks and it's close to food/drinks. People coming from out of town have the Doubletree or could head over to the Fairfield by the Bay City mall. I'll post again in February. The snow is coming but I guess we're 1 day closer to boating.

We would be interested in a fun run for sure. Like it has been said, as long as it doesn't conflict with other runs we already attend.

I swear I already replied to this thread ... I'm in as long as we have a guide who really knows the area. Lots of shoals and rocks in there!

Inner bay is no issue, flat sandy bottom 8-20 feet. Much like western Lake Erie. Only real trouble spots are in outer bay and easily avoided with a little guidance.

Well let's start a list of dates that are already taken by other poker runs or fun runs. I know I will be up for boyne thunder July 9-11
