Anybody Know This '83 32 SE?
http://www.powerboatlistings.com/view/7052
Silver Sands Marina has this '83 with twin 454s and Arneson drives. It's been around a while and the they want me to come look at it and make an offer. Asking $17,900, so where should I start?
Does anybody know this boat? The sales dork I spoke to was kind of ignorant about it, but pushed hard to get me to come see it.
I've been lurking here a short while, but I'm ready to jump into the GF world!

i have an 82' that i have been restoring for three years now and its almost finally done. thats boat looks worse than mine did just to give you a time frame on how much work it takes. i would just spend the extra $ and buy mikes 32 and go have fun.

I would agree that that boat to get running would be at least 20-25 K its been sitting along time and just not worth it unless you like the Challenge of boating over the actual use of boating. I think Mikes hustler is great turnkey boat wish I had cash.

I can tell you from boat ing around the lake it was docked next to the the Naswa resort for years in the eighties .then i saw it for sale early 90's at silversands they where asking 32 k back then.i noticed the boat was repainted.I don't think the boat is worth 10k just my opinion it needs complete updating.Just to let you know that boat has been there over twenty years on land.

Thanks for all your thoughts on this! I do wish I had the $$$ to buy Mike's boat - it's a beauty.
Thanks sonic for your first hand knowledge of the boat's idle history.
I loved boomer's remark about the "challenge of boating".
I was kind of hoping to hit the lottery here on a trailer queen that might not need too much $$$ to be useable, but that isn't the case. The salesman admitted that the boat had been on the hard for as long as he could remember working there. He showed me an estimate they did for a previous potential buyer in 2004 suggesting total engine rebuilds because the gaskets are hard, as well as every gasket in the hull. It has electrical problems. The interior is faded buy useable. The paint job is pretty nice. Lipstick on a pig. I'm just getting too old for a project of this size.
Oh well, I'll be keeping my eyes open. No hurry.
Thanks again!
