The p5 x s kill the rev lim. They are 27 s I hade mike tighten them up and a full race lab job. There about a 28 pitch Drives level 80 mph to keep them off the rev lim. Keep in mind this boat is loaded. Full of fuel, water tank is full and **** tank was full. I have a poker run next sat. After that I'll send them back and have him do some more work to them.

Have you tried 30p Bravo's? Believe that's what came with the 500's...

or some lab 30 maximus?

fyi, Im running herring 28 5blades, they are to big compared to the 30p 4bld stock bravo ones, about 5-8mph and 4-500 rpm.

So far the 27 hydros px5s. No a labed 28 work the best. But still hit the rev lim at 80 with no trim

You try moving up to 28p5x or even 29? My buddy has a RH 28 p5x for sale.
Seems the p5x are a good fit for these boats due to the bow liftingproperties...similar to bravo, but less slip and high cruise

I have full race labed 27s hydros px5s. Stretched to a 28. 82 mph that's it but the cruise and ride are great. I have 30 Merc raceing 30s getting some work done now. I'll give up the extra 2 to 3 mph on top end for a good cruise. We tend to run long distances.
