Re: Arnesons on 388's
The boat is a 2004. Modified #6 Arnesons. It is supposed to run 110 mph. I was radared 98 MPH in the Lake Ozark Shootout. I have seen over 100 but not for very long. Still getting used to the way it feels with surface drives at high speeds. The easiest way to see pics is go to www.lakecumberlandmarine.com look at used boats it is the blue and yellow 2004.

Nice ride ,
I see Cumberland has redone the site, alot better, I don't like it when they don't put prices in the adds ,. Makes you think the qualify the costumer to see how much to charge for the boat
I wonder why the sub speaker grill is off center ? mine is in the center, i know it just a grill cover .Mine came with a kicker sub box ,I replaced it with 2 12's. boomboom ported box maybe?
Hey look at this LITTLE trailer

I don't know why it is off center. It is a mounted sub not a kicker box like my old Slingshot. Notice the two rear speakers are mounted high. They sound alot better

Premiums- Nice boat. Hustler definitely has a lot of experience with surface drives. My Slingshot with #5's has a high 'x' dimension. Hey Rob- is that your gooseneck trailer? Paint scheme on the boat seems different from your boat or is that a shot off Cumberland's web site? My boat doesn't have a rear center speaker. It has the stereo w/6 CD setup. Previous owner had the rear seat replaced with the 3 bolster rear seat with a foot rest that runs across boat. Owner flew in the Hustler technician who mounted the sear and footrest as well as the new rear carpet. Unfortunately, part of the deal was to remove the small water heater tank. Prior owner ran the boat hard and made the changes after he broke 2-3 ribs on a guy at one of the 1000 Islands Poker Runs. Guy got tossed into one of the front bolsters....ouch! Lou

Re: Arnesons on 388's
There have been several 388’s with the Arneson Surface Drives and we even did a 344 Cheetah for last years Miami boat show with stock Merc 525’s. There is going to be another 388 at the Miami boat show coming up along with a 50’.
The purple one with yellow flames, they use this one in their adds, has a pair of Eicker 675’s and Rolf @ PROROC has run the boat up to 115 mph.
Matt Shade’s 388 with the Cobra 780’s is one wicked sounding boat. Ask Matt how it docks, I saw him at LOTO maneuver it in the docks between all the boats during the shoot out. He had absolutely no problems.
The 388 that was referred to as a morphodite, was a boat that was a trade in on a new 40’ Skater with Arneson’s. The boat was converted from #5 speedmasters to the Arneson’s and they covered the transom with an aluminum plate rather than re-glass the transom. The boat came out of New Jersey and they had tried to mimic the Black Cloud boat.
Boat was in fact sold to a guy in Corona CA without engines and he runs the boat at Havasu with a pair of engines that he purchased through a Military sale. Engines were built by Innovation for the military and they were naturally aspirated engines with all these cool parts. He added blowers to them and installed them in the boat. I think they dyno’d a bit over 1,000 hp. Boat has run in the low 130’s at Havasu.
