customryder,

I your case I am leaning towards a 29P or a 30P P5-X. The Slingshot we have done have had a bit more power but none the less they perfrom very well. I also think that in your case you need to run the motors a little higher RPM than you are running now if you want to prop for top end Around 5200 RPM at WOT.

Back out of the Bilge!
Sorry guy's about no recent post. I have been furiously trying to finish the boat.
Went to Austin for a little Baja Poker Run last weekend. Spent the entire day and night at the first on water bar we could find Carlos and Charlies. Ran the boat a little on Sunday. Handles great! The whipples are a BLAST!
Wanted to get a little breakin time on the new drives and get a feel for the boat. Tried the 32 pitch 4 blade Merc props took her up to 90mph easily (GPS speedo) about 5000rpm for a quick test. I Have a set of 34 pitch that I will try next. What setting are you guys running your Tabs? At WFO how high are raising your drives? Particularly with ext boxes as I have the ITS set-up. I dont have a full membership to post pictures with yet(just getting over the toasting I took at National Marine). A friend posted pictures for me in the classifieds. Its the blue and silver 2003 model. Will not get to test the other props until next week. Very impressed with the handling I like the way she sits at speed. I think this is a much better running boat than a staggard 38 Fountain, they run too flat in the water, a little nose heavy which is to me a little spooky in a stepped hull. Has anybody ever considered making a wind deflecter for drivers and passenger side kind of like on a Cigarette. I have the full deflecter but dont like the look. Anyway sorry for the lack of updates. Offer still stands if anybody needs a deal on any Merc parts. I also buy boats if you know of any deals out there, Just good quality stuff.
Thanks,
Veecat over in Texas
Just back from beautiful Lake Travis in Austin!

Now we are in the same boat, testing some props. Talked to Julie yesterday about the Hydro 5 blades. Setup consist of 572 na ci motors, 750 hp. Imcos with 1 inch shorties on stelling boxes. Gear ratio is 1.5. With Merc 34s seems to push the nose down somewhat and the backend wants to wonder around above 90 mph. The props that came with the boat are stamped 30 but supposedly stretched into a 32. They run good but we are running up against the rev limiter at 6000.

Hey Rob, hows the testing going down there? PM me your phone # again, I seem to have misplaced it.

Soinc - Are you the gentleman that called me about my 388 s/u? I couldn't remember your screen name... I still have my 32 labbed props if you want them. Give me a call. I tried to PM you but it wouldn't go through.
