Ilmor is producing both raw-water and close-cooled versions of the 5.7 (old smallblock) and 6.0/6.2 (LS series) engines for MasterCraft. Hard to say where else that might take them, but the production capability is there...

I guess that the issue right now would be an outdrive. The Indy drive is way overkill, requires a transmission, and is priced too high for the "typical V8" market. For Ilmor to get into building 600+ hp V8's doesn't make sense given their investment in the V10 platform. On the other hand, if the supply of V10's dries up, then Imor would have to go elsewhere.

On the other hand, If you really want one, Teague will sell you a supercharged and injected 850 hp big block mated to an Indy drive RIGHT NOW. Just call him.

I would rather see a ci increase to 700 or so to get the n/a power up over 900 than go down to a SC V8. If the V10s go away maybe Ilmor could build its own?

Sorry for the hijack, but can the Ilmor build small block's run with a bravo drive, and how much hp are they?

And back to topic

Nothing is in the works. ITS IN PRODUCTION in Mooresville, NC. Only being installed in Mastercraft ski boats right now. We were just certified for competition use today!!
