That sucks Alex, I knew the people bragging about being "killers" would eventually sneak in at some point and haunt us all. Does Melanie have a writer that they deal with. I know they cant recommend one person, but she may have a couple for you to check out...Rob

Not exactly cheap, but Markell was $3,300 with no wind and only 300,000 liability. (and quite frankly Markell sucks when paying claims) Give her a try.
If it goes over 75 mph don't bother!

Nothin.. and it sucks !
Re: Insurance for FL w/ hurricane Coverage?????

I have the 35 lightening with twin 502 engines. (top speed 75) Niala Narace @ Atlass insurance in Ft lauderdale can write anything under 75 - 80 MPH through Great Lakes. They are the biggest underwriter for the company and have done pretty well with alot of sport boats. Her Number is (954) 525-0585.
Give her a try.

Re: Insurance for FL w/ hurricane Coverage?????

asg, yep the insurance in Florida is all screwed up and a real scam. pstorti posted above and does not believe all this to be correct though. All I know is that from what my neighbors are going through with there performance boats and the many phone calls I made for insurance renewal for my 38te Fountain center console fish boat. I was lucky to get NBOA to renew my policy and only have it go up $300, however they increased my widstorm from 2% to 10% . I have perfect credit, driving record in my auto and boat with no claims and still many companies advertising here and in magazines will not insure in Florida or I did find one lady that wanted $9,000 to insure my boat.
