Default Need Insurance on little bit older boat

When I originally looked for insurance I was told there were only two insurance companies that would insure my boat. It is a 1998 38' Wellcraft Scarab with 600 sc Mercury engines. i have done some work on the engines that would bring it up to about 700 HP each. It goes about 75MPH. Is there other companies out there that will insure my boat besides Markel?

I should be able to get you covered with another insurance carrier besides Markel. Please give me a call at your earliest convenience to discuss further.

Thanks!

If these guys can't help (they should be able to, but at a cost maybe), check with Allstate. They didn't have any problems with an older boat.....now if my damn credit union would just agree with that idea.

Check with your home owners first. I have State Farm and they actually came out to check the boat out and said they would insure me as long as I took a boaters safety course. Well long story short got it insured no courses availabe til the following spring took the course and they droped my insurance another 10%. I have not seen anyone that could do better.
