Default Best Company/Credit Union etc for Boat Financing

Hello All,

Moved here from the mountains of Colorado to be near and on the water. Looking to purchase a live-aboard size boat. Have found one for $25K and want to finance it. Live in Jacksonville, FL. Any suggestions on best boat loan/financing company? Also any good suggestions on who to go through for insurance? Tried Geico - my auto company and no go...

Thanks Folks!

A lot of people do what I did - just go to a local credit union. That way they can put a face with a name/SS#. It worked out really well with me and I was able to finance 100% over the term I wanted (admittedly during more credit fluid times).

Don't forget that on 25k that the rate isn't OVERLY important in the grand scheme of things.

INSURANCE - ALOT of people on here, including myself are using Stacy Shute (member: WakezoneINS) if it is a high performance boat. Not sure whether she does "other" stuff or not.....

Good Luck....

Thanks! We do write all types of boat from put-puts to go fast... A boat is a boat. Let me know if I can help, even if you are in FL.

Newcoast just funded a frind of mine on an RV- excellent, they beat out essex.

I caught them late when I got my new boat but Kyle gave me a very competitive quote as a check.

Very flexible competitive company.
