1991 39' Express Cat 2004 Cigarette 42X Staggered
How much to insure 27 Magnum???

I have a question for insurance... 1983 Magnum 27 454/330hp merc outdrives trailer how much approx will insurance be? I am not holding anyone to any numbers I am looking at buying one and would like to get a guesstimate. We currently have two boats with Markel a 42X and 39 Express cat if that makes any difference. Also how much more will it be to insure my brother and sister who are twins and 21?

If the top speed is over 60mph then it might be difficult to get full coverage on the boat. I would think that if you already have your other 2 boats with Markel, they would do this one for you in a heartbeat. But, that said, you can more than likely get coverage from many places out there on this boat. Adding 21 year olds will be completely dependent upon the carrier. If you want to talk more about your boat, I'm available and would work to find you what is available to you. Sorry I can't say and number, there are just far too many variables with older boats.

My boat does 50-55mph, pretty much stock 330hp 454, alum tri axle tralier and insured it for 12K if it is a total loss. Iam paying about $1,300 for a full year thru progressive. I was told its expensive due to mostly of my driving record...which has a few tickets on it still and hasn't clear yet.
