To anyone reading this post with more than a single low powered I/O engine... MetLife is not for you.
MetLife + HIGH Performance Boats = No good (MetLife will be the first to tell you they want NOTHING to do with performance boats)
ICDEDPPL - glad to hear you had a pain free claims experience....

As far as.."Get my info?" Answer: "Only years of experience writing performance boat insurance with many different carriers. What I have found over the years is that typcially, captive carriers, such as MetLife, Allstate, State Farm etc., do not allow policies to be written for high performance boats."
SOMETIMES (like your case) captive carriers will cover their client's boats (even high performance) if they have a lot of other policies with them. State Farm often does this. If you got yours through... awesome for you.... doubt many others would have your luck because many others have tried. Count your blessings, thank your lucky stars and don't let your policy lapse because you are one of the lucky few....
I'm not saying your coverage is bad, I was just stating that to all those other performance boat owners that MetLife is not the best suggestion for their insurance needs, in my opinion. Most people need an actual policy that is actually written for a high performance boat. Simple as that.
