Default Insurance Options - 1980 27' power boat?

I have already put in an application with Wakezone (Stacy Shute) and am waiting to hear back on that.

What are any OTHER options for insuring an older speed boat?
Gieco won't touch it, and I was told NOT to consider Progressive by a reliable source, so they are not an option either.

Anyone have anymore reliable suggestions?
What should insurance cost? I was guessing about $600-700 per year.

Hard to estimate the insurance premium on your boat without having more information. At your convenience, please give me a call and I will be happy to discuss your options and get you a quote very quickly.

Thanks!

Hey Kenneth,
We got your quote and have already begun working on getting you the best rate from the available carriers.... Markel and National Assurance. We'll be getting back to you asap. Thank you.

there aren't many options on a 1980 boat over 65mph. We checked on insurance through Markel and through National Marine.... not good... it was very expensive...
