Default Insurance question

I live on Lake St. Clair. Normally my insurance coverage is for the great lakes. I boat on Lake Huron, St. Clair, and Erie. I plan on doing a little more this year. Specifically, I'm going to Lake Charlevoix, Lake Michigan, and Lake Cumberland Kentucky. What should my insurance coverage be? And, approximately how much will my rate be for extending my coverage area?

It really depends on what company your coverage is placed through. If you are covered for the Great Lakes then there is a very good chance Lake Charlevoix is also covered since it is a lake in MI and most policies cover the smaller lakes if you insure for the Great Lakes.

I could not tell you how much it would cost to extend your nav to the midwest. All companies have different rating factors and procedures. It should not be to expensive though.

Your boat may also be eligible for a policy that gives you full U.S. navigation if you are interested.

I would highly recommend looking into a quote from American Modern. They will provide you with unlimited trailering to ANY WHERE in the US up to 150 miles offshore... They offer a transfer discount for MI as well which will save you an additional 15% just for having current insurance. We're an agent for them so we can get you a quote from American Modern.

We just moved a guy from Harrison Twp to them on his Sunsation and the rate was only $839 per year. His policy before was costing $1347 per year with a lot of restrictions.

Anyways... We can get you taken care of. Call or go online:

Call: 866-792-4149

Hope to hear from you soon!

I'd be that guy....Waterford...not Harrison Twp....but considering she's in Cali...that's close enough! I can't say enough good about Stacy....it took a LOT of work but she got me the coverage I needed at an excellent rate! In fact...she's one of only three people that has NOT screwed me since the boat was bought!! She sticks to her word and gets the job done! Thank you Stacy!!!
