I'll be happy to contact our clients who have had to file a claim and ask them to tell you first hand about their experience with our agency and with the carrier we placed them through.... I will forward them a link to this post so that they can choose to respond if they'd like to.

I think it is important for me to clarify that Wake Zone is NOT an insurance company we are an insurance agency. We, as an agency, do not settle claims or determine the amount of payout. Sometimes people fail to realize the difference between the two.

Anyways... I'm happy to point our recent clients with claims to this thread and ask them to give you their account first hand....

1998 Hustler Slingshot 800sc
Wake Zone Ins

I bought a 1998 Hustler Slingshot with twin 800SC's & #5 drives in June 2009 and had to use a different insurance company since the company I was using to insure my 2002 27 Fountain Fever would not insure the Hustler. I called a few agencies and asked my friends who they used and decided to shoot Stacie @ Wake Zone an email. She responded very quickly with a quote and I had a policy (2 to be exact) in my hands in less than a week (She's on the west coast and I am on the east coast) She gave me the best price on the market for the Hustler (American Reliable) and saved me $700 a year on the Fountain.

I had a huge boating weekend planned for Labor Day weekend 2009. On friday night of Labor Weekend I went for a cruise with a couple friends for dinner. While enroute I struck a semi submerged object, that I and the mechanic believed to be either a telephone pole with a spike in it or a fence post with a spike in it, regardless it chewed a prop, busted the u-joint, which in turn tore up the gimble housing and seal (I was taking on water), locked the drive shaft up, breaking the transmission and busted the bell housing on the motor.

First thing Saturday, morning I shot Stacie an email and told I had an issue with the boat. She called me within a couple of hours (remember east vs west time zone). She had pulled my policy and was going over it with me, on a Saturday of Labor Day weekend. She noted that my final insurance payment install was due in a few days and to be sure that I had that check in the mail so there would be no reason to deny the claim.

I've had insurance on cars for over 20yrs, motorcycles over 15 yrs and boats almost 10yrs., house for 10 yrs. The only claim I've ever has was on a TV with an extended warranty from Best Buy. I've never made an insurance claim in my life and had no idea on how to file a claim. Stacie guided me on what I needed to complete and where to call. I was very leery of filing a claim, getting denied, being dropped or my rates sky rocketing.I expressed my concerns with Stacie, she said not to worry and that she would walk me through the steps if needed and that is part of what being a good agent is about, helping you file and settle claims if needed. I dealt with American Reliable exclusively over the phone, I explained what happened and they asked for my mechanic to fax them an estimate. The damage done to the Hustler was fairly extensive, The motor had to be pulled, transmission had to be shipped to Huber (NJ to La), prop was sent to BBlades, and needed a bunch of new parts. Since the transmission cost was unknown at the initial time of the estimate, an updated estimate was sent to American Reliable halfway through the repair, without an issue. American Reliable gave approval for the repairs without sending out a rep. and claim was settled about 2 weeks after the work was completed.

American Reliable and Stacie/Wake Zone were great to deal with no snags or hiccups. They even let me renew my insurance policy with them again this year and my rates really didn't go up. I highly recommend both Stacie Wake Zone Insurance and American Reliable.

American Reliable and Stacy at Wake Zone Insurance Company are, without doubt, the best marine insurance providers out there!!!! Their pricing is awesome and the customer service couldn't be better! I had a claim and, within minutes, Stacey handled the situation and began the claim process. That meant minimal "down time" out of the water and my insurance check even arrived before the parts were delivered to the service center. I would highly recommend Wake Zone Insurance to all my fellow boaters!!!! Thanks again, Stacy!

While I haven't had a claim my experience has been great.

I was doing a Charity Event a couple weekends ago and my insurance dec page had expired in between the time I sent my registration in and the time the Charity Event started.

The Promoters noticed it and asked that I get an updated copy. I called Stacey at about 6 on a Friday afternoon, she answered and had emailed me the new dec page in about 5 minutes. It salvaged my entire weekend, which otherwise would have had me tied to the dock watching others boat.

Outerlimits Quattro
i have utilized the services at Wake Zone for four years and Stacy Shute provides outstanding customer service and sincerely cares about the needs of her clients. As stated, Stacy is not the insurance company, she is the agent. The agent represents the insured (boat owner) and is not the insurance company. A good agent can make the difference when it comes to premiums, limits, coverages and claim service. I have had a 35ft Fountain Lightning w/525's insured with Stacy, with no problems and a great premium. When i purchased my 39ft Outerlimits with 600's this spring, Wake Zone was my first phone call and Stacy provided a great premium and coverages. Unfortunately, i sustained damage to my boat this July. i struck a submerged object and it damaged my ITS and XR drive severely and i needed replacement of these parts. I'm all fixed and received outstanding service from Stacy and the insurance company. The claim was handled expiditiously and professionally.

Just a comment about Stacy not returning e-mails, as was eluded to in one post. She was recommended to me from a friend of mine who changes boats every year and he has always been pleased by her service and attention to detail. She has been great to deal with on my policy for my Daytona. She returns calls and emails even after busness hours and quickly. In 23 years of high performance boating, I have never had a claim and hope I never do, but I get the feeling it would be no problem if anything every does happen. She gives me better response time than my agent I spend $250,000 a year with on my business. I would reccomend anyone at least give her a call. And she looks like Jennifer Anniston in her OSO photo! You can't go wrong with that combo !!.

Gotta agree....I'm on east coast time...she's on west coast and that girl has replied at times most agents have long gone home for the night. I've not had to put in any claims since I've been with her (knock on balsa wood!) but I can't say enough about her customer service. She rocks!.....and yah Stacy...yah doo look like Aniston in that pic ay? (sorry couldn't resist hittin on those Wisconsin roots! LOL) Merry Christmas!
