Have had cats & tunnel boats for 15+ years with no claims,for insurance what would you have to have to prove it.Insurance was easier while back and you could fibe abit too.

Just bought a V and want to go back to cat, maybe if i can afford it.

Looking at older 30' cat with 500's, $60K ,scared what insurance might be compared to my v-bottom with single 500?

$500 to $3,000-$5,000 ?

Plan on 2500.00 to 3500.00. I am a first time cat owner, single engine 100mph boat and came in at 3500.00. I guess it will go down some after one year of ownership. Call Devin @ Wozencraft 714-263-2626 he does a great job!

You cant provide proof, they are going to use typical ratin factors when doing any vehicle or boat. Again how do you prove it, ownership implies nothing really.

28' profile over 100mph 1,000 deductible, insured for 35,000 with a boating season of march through September runs me 1,100 a year. I had four years of previous cat experience and the only proof I needed was my word. I am sure you will fall into a different category because its a twin but I can't see it being to much worse.

You fill out a boating resume with the boat's you've owed and ATTEST to that being the truth. The resume becomes part of your application and in turn the policy. Therefore, if you lie, it becomes grounds for material misrepresentation. Upon binding that is what is asked for.

Got a quote today for $1,229.00, $1000 deductable,$300,000 liability ,for $55K, 30'cat w/ twin 500's, age might be helping here "98"

That price sounds really good. You mind me asking who quoted you the policy? Might be giving them a call. I don't know if it comes down to age of the boat as much as the insured value speed of the boat age of the driver and driving record. Would like to see a few other 28' to 30' cat owners post up what they pay for insurance. I understand a lot of factors weigh in when you start talking cats but it would be nice to get a comparison of what I pay vs the next guy, with similar policies of course.
