Justin, seriously... no need to be spooked. a boat with 650/side isn't a home for the companies you were calling around to.. Lucky for you, you're already insured by an agent that SPECIALIZES IN THIS lol Soooo... rest assured, you can get coverage and i will make sure you're taken care of. This is an easy boat to insure!

You have a black mark next to your name, my 271 was about 425, I'm with Stacy now with my 303 and I think its 550 or so

Hi there, I've been lurking on this board for a while but just created an account so I can get some advise: Can anyone tell me what companies insure true high performance boats (130mph+) that do business in the state of Texas? I am tired of getting BS quotes that don't pan out now that I am in the market for a faster boat. I know a lot of brokers here do high performance. I don't need a quote yet, I just want the names of the companies and a little background on them.
Thanks!

Not to be a smartass but did you read this whole thread? A number of agents are mentioned.

I know about the agents, I think some of them if not all are actual brokers. What I want to know about are the actual insurance companies that do insure these types of boats. I am assuming that there are only a handful of them. I'd like to know who they are and what the difference between them is.
I would dare to think that some of the brokers work with the same companies and that is why they are so passive aggressive towards each other

Thanks Stacy, it is just hard for guys like me to have a clear picture of which companies actually do this. A list or side by side comparison would be nice. "Ultra High Performance Insurance for Dummies" kinda thing.
