There is a difference between sitting in a boat while running and sitting in a boat that is "made' to sit in and run. The Kryptonite is made to sit in and run. The ergos are setup well for feet placement, control(shifter/throttle)placement, and visibility over the bow. Also the factory seats work well to lock you in and let you travel up/down (or in and out of the water) with the boat.

I have a 509 with about 525-550hp in mine and cruise in the low 50's at 3500rpm. Top out in the low-mid 80's (seen 85.6 with just me and low fuel).

I've owned a few boats in this size range so I think a can speak with honesty and a unbiased opinion. While the other boats seemed to excel in one area or another the Kryptonite does everything (for me) very well. I never overnight so that was not a concern for me. But there is plenty of room for my wife, daughter and myself to crash if needed. We boat in the Chesapeake Bay and have never been confronted with a water condition we couldn't handle. The power to weight ratio is excellent and it's by far the most effecient hull I have ever owned. On top of that it looks badass.....

ditto to all that brother when i first had mine built in03 i put a 496 in it and went 78 mph. pulled it out had holden set the same engine up with a rotating assy for a 250 blowershop app. instantly got 90 at 5600 rpm talking 620 hp. next was my 540 that made 730 hp also built by holden, and saw 102 @6000!!!! power to weight is unbelievable. never did i get a stress crack associated to the conditions id run in. unfortunately it was time to part with my favorite boat ever after also owning several others prior but the economy is just killing my business, but when i buy again it will for sure be a new krypto popped out by kirk at kryptonite......

DonRoc your boat looks bad ass, but I am afraid it is more then I can affford. I have a boat I have sunk far more then it will ever be worth, so my only reasonable out is to strip the mechanicals out and put them in to something more worthy. The one in the classifieds fit that bill, and at a 25k asking price I thought maybe I could get it for about 22k and have to drive from Texas to pick it up. That fit into my budget, but 30k doesnt. The Kryptonite is one of the best looking boats out there, and it would be a pretty rare sight where I live which would be pretty cool. Yours would be awesome, and I sure could use the added strength of the IMCO drive, just a little out of my reach, I love the paint job bt the way.

Thanks, No problem. If I sell it or don't really does not make a difference. I really want to get the cat bought and set up first. then I can decide to sell or not sell the Krypto. Hope you find one they are an awesome single engine V bottom.

My buddy just bought that boat for 20,000. I thought that was a hell of a deal for a very clean boat.

Should run in the upper 90's. I think the previous owner is full of it saying 103mph with 730hp. Most kryptos need 800hp to get to the 104-105 range. 20,000 is a damn good deal, boat kind of creeps me out though considering its history.

Oh, and the rigging on it is second to mine because mine is perfect....
