Is there enough head room for an adult to sit in the cabin? And is there enough room for two adults to sleep in the v berth and maybe a kid to sleep ware the seats are if you made a filler cushion for the center. I really like these boats I just don't think they are bid enough for my needs. Is anyone with a pleasure version going to be in Patchouge this weekend that maybe I could take a look at.
Thanks Kirk

[QUOTE=Philm;3183907]Mine was built in '06, but not actually rigged out until early 07.
I cant imagine that TOO many were built, and certainly not too many are down here on the Chesapeake.
I am still looking for Marty to bring his down here, the black hull with white deck, apparently pushing over 700hp. Where are you Marty!!!! [p
phil its funny how u get 97 out of yours with a heavy load with approx. 700 hp, where in a previous thread u said u thought i was full of it when i said with a dynoed 730 hp i got 102 when u need at least 800 hp to get those speeds! not the case obviously , depends on the setup u have in these boats

I said a bit over 700hp. I have no idea how much over. There is a 598ci N/A for sale that has the exact same build and cam as mine that is making 801hp at 6000rpm. Mine isnt jetted perfectly and I can put 3-4º more timing into it, so an additional 50hp isnt out of the question. My best estimate based on speeds is between 725hp and 750hp.
There is a big difference between 97mph and 102mph. Figure it takes a solid 100hp to go from 90 to 97mph. Don did 90mph with 620hp and I did 97mph guessing around 725hp. And I did not have a heavy load on board. I had half a tank of fuel, myself and my girl (who is only about 110lbs), 20lbs of anchor and a 50lb cooler. So it would take what, at least 75hp to get to 102mph? And I am not talking balls out flat empty with everything stripped out of it and nothing on board, I am talking reliable speeds that you can actually claim. The 1/2 tank and two people on board, along with your anchor and cooler of beer speeds. Do I doubt that you ran 102mph? Absolutely not, I think that it is possible with absolutely perfect conditions and a very light load. But I do doubt that you did it consistently or even got close to it consistently with that hp. But who knows, the dyno operator could have understated your hp or you could have the perfect setup.
See, this got me started on another tangent. This is not directed at anyone, but I dislike hearing about how fast a boat goes when it has only done it once. When people ask me how fast my boat can go, I say that I have done 97mph ONCE and can run 92-93mph with any load on board. That absolute top speed just isnt attainable very often.
